- ACTIVE CODES P0316 MISFIRE DETECTED ON START UP P2096 POST CATALYST FUEL TRIM SYSTEM TOO LEAN BANK 1 Customer brought in vehicle due to check engine light is on. Technician inspected vehicle and found vehicle would throw excessive smoke from vehicle tail pipe when warming up. Technician found vehicle coolant was low level when vehicle arrived. Technician preformed vehicle combustion chamber leak test on vehicle head gasket which vehicle did fail within minutes of test showing signs of failure of engine head gasket allowing coolant to enter vehicle cylinders. Technician recommends replacing vehicle engine assembly.
